Glade membership scheme –  September 2008

Benefits of membership.

You need to be a member of Glade to borrow or use Glade Resources or hire meeting rooms in the Glade Centre at the community rate.

In addition to this all members receive the Quarterly Glade newsletter and invitations  to the annual meeting and other public Glade events.

Later this year there will be  a special members area on the new Glade website.

But most important you will get the satisfaction of supporting Global and Development education in Somerset and the South West, and you will always find a welcome at the Glade Centre in Ilminster.

The membership year runs from September to August.

Types of Membership

Individual or community membership - £10 per annum.

This is the basic level of membership for all individuals and community groups who are not schools. It has been designed to minimise the administrative costs. All communication will normally be by email. No paper invoices will be produced for the membership fee. Members should give a valid email address and update their own details via the website once it is live.

There is no discount on the cost of resources, professional services or room hire.

Any non-members wanting these facilities will normally be charged £10 membership as part of the cost.

Classic membership – for community groups  or Individual schools who require a higher level of administrative support -£20 per annum

Communication will normally be by email. Invoices will be provided and may be sent in paper form if required. Members should give a valid email address for the principal contact, and may have up to 5 other people as registered contacts. Please make sure these are the direct email addresses of the people who deal with Global and development issues as we find that emails sent to school offices are often treated as SPAM and not forwarded.

There will be no discount on the cost of resources, professional services or room hire. Any non-member schools or other organisations requiring invoices wanting these facilities will normally be charged £20 membership as part of the cost.

Silver membership – for larger schools, organisations or clusters of schools £50 per annum.

Communication will normally be by email. Invoices will be provided and may be sent in paper form if required. Members should give a valid email address for the principal contact, and may have up to 20 other people as registered contacts. There will be a 20% discount on the cost of resources, but not professional services or room hire.

Gold membership – for larger schools, organisations,  or clusters of schools £250 per annum.

Communication will normally be by email. Invoices will be provided and may be sent in paper form if required. Members should give a valid email address for the principal contact, and may have up to 20 other people as registered contacts. There will be a 25% discount on the cost of resources, and 10% on professional services or room hire. £200 credit may be used against any of these.

Any schools or organisations making regular use of Glade resources or Professional services should consider Gold membership as it will be the most cost effective.

Unlimited membership – for large “umbrella” organisations £500 per annum.

This gives full membership to all the individual groups within the commissioning organisation. As an incentive to use the resources we will give a £20 credit against the hire of resources to all these groups.
