Whether you like it or not, today the rest of the world is on your doorstep as never before. Your actions and choices affect others, locally and globally.

Increased opportunities for travel, experiences of people, culture and lifestyles, the clothes we wear, the food we eat, the music we listen to, all form part of the global picture.

Global Youth Action is run by GLADE as part of a national project co-ordinated by the Development Education Association (DEA) and funded by the Big Lottery Fund.	Design Your Own Project One or two young people from your group volunteer to help the reset decide what is important to you and which local/global issue(s) you would like to explore further. These young researchers receive accredited training.
Explore the World Our flexible youth-led approach starts with your experiences of the world around you. We encourage a critical understanding of how our lives are connected to others around the world and how we can take action towards greater equity and justice.	Activate with Music, Art, Drama . . . Your group gets going on the project with support from GLADE and youth workers. You work together to get more information and plan events and activities to tackle your chosen issue. There is also money available to bring in externeal expertise such as video, music and drama specialists to help explore the issue further.
It could be YOU! We are working directly with up to 15 groups in Somerset over 3 years. We provide support and advice to anyone interested in global youth work.	Get Qualified Everybody involved in the project gets a chance to reflect and learn from what they do, and to gain accreditation. Youth workers have an opportunity to attend the 'An Introduction to Global Youth Work' OCN accredited course.
Get Asking Questions First, we run a session to introduce the project and hand over control! Fun, interactive activities get young people thinking and talking about global issues.	Get Connected Join our Global Youth Network and get together with other young people interested in global issues. This is also an opportunity to have your say and influence policy at national level.
